Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Consulting
Productivity’s consultants have been helping organizations implement TPM for over thirty years. We are uniquely positioned to help your program get and stay on track. From awareness, culture and team building sessions, to equipment centered process improvement Productivity can assist you in the planning, implementation and leadership of your on-going TPM implementation.
Rollout Plan
To be successful, it is critical that your TPM program align with your organization’s overall strategic objectives. To ensure this is the case, Productivity’s consultants will work with improvement teams to design a TPM Rollout Plan or review your existing TPM plan, targets-to-improve, milestones, and objectives.
Site Plan Design
This planning session provides an opportunity to discuss the basic concepts of TPM, the eight pillars, share implementation perspectives, and develop a common terminology. Working with your site improvement team, Productivity will facilitate a discussion of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and other equipment/process related metrics. Then, facilitated by Productivity, your site improvement team will use our TPM Action Planning Guide to perform a self-assessment; define key issues; determine remedial actions; establish cost/benefit relationships; define roles; assign responsibilities; and milestone initial activities to be completed within a specific timeframe. The outcome is the creation of a site specific TPM Rollout plan.
Leadership
The overall success of your TPM initiative depends on your leadership and your ability to lead the change process. Prior to joining Productivity, our consultants were all successful leaders within industry. As a result, they have first-hand experience in what it takes to lead the change process, ensure sustainability, and create a culture of continuous improvement throughout your facility. Our consultants will work one-on-one with keys leaders in your organization to guide and mentor them in the cultural and technical decision making processes of TPM implementation.
Coordinator Coaching
A key person in the organizational structure for TPM implementation is the TPM Coordinator or Champion, but what about the roles and responsibilities of this individual? This coaching session is directed at that individual who has been tasked with implementing TPM. In this session your TPM Coordinator will learn techniques to help communicate the TPM rollout plan, overcome resistance to change, plus gain and sustain support for the initiative.
Supervisor Coaching
Supervisors play a critical role in a TPM transformation. They are the links between management hierarchy and the people out in the work place. Supervisors can bridge the gap between the current and desired culture. Yet despite these complex expectations, most organizations give supervisors limited attention. In this interactive coaching session, supervisors will learn ten critical performance factors that are necessary to support the change process and enhance organizational culture change.
