Event Summary
Lean in Action is a three-day event designed to introduce you to the often overlooked and misunderstood technique of TPM. TPM is all about putting your maintenance system to work for you not against you. TPM is more than just maintenance or machine improvements, it’s building the capabilities of your people, your processes, and your equipment to maximize asset reliability and ultimately, company profits. You won’t be able to meet your Lean goals absent having reliable equipment, so TPM should be an integral part of your overall Lean initiative.
This event begins in the classroom with the TPM Workshop. This two-day session will teach you some of the fundamental tactics of TPM implementation. As well as how and when to apply these tactics within your overall Lean initiative..
Then, the event moves to the workplace for a plant tour of the Kaiser Aluminum Chandler Arizona facility. Here you will see and talk to Kaiser team members to learn how they are meeting their goals with the Kaiser Production System.
