Productivity Inc. and The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business join together to offer the Lean Tool Awareness Certificate Program (LTAC). Learn how to implement lean and enhance positive change in your company through this unique program, taught by the leaders in lean education.
In this intensive one-week, fully accredited program on the campus of The Ohio State University, you will learn how and where to start on your lean journey. Experienced lean practitioners and educators transfer the fundamentals of lean knowledge through a combination of classroom lecture, group activities, and simulations.
Upon completion of this eight-module program, you will be awarded the Lean Tool Awareness Certificate by Productivity Inc. and The Ohio State University. Graduates of the LTAC Program earn 4 CEUs.

Learn the principles and techniques of 5S and how to establish visual management systems that improve workplace communication and adherence to standards.
Strategic Planning and Policy Deployment
Explore hoshin kanri, or policy deployment – a proven business planning, deployment, and renewal process that incorporates strategic priorities in daily work throughout your organization...and gets everyone aligned in the lean transformation process.
Guided by a classroom simulation, you will learn and use lean's cornerstone method, standard work, to define best practices and then standardize, document, and sustain them.
Value Stream Management
Learn how to plot your lean strategy in this interactive module that teaches value stream mapping step-by-step. Covers how to create current state and future state maps and analyze the results to guide lean implementation.
Total Productive Maintenance / OEE
Grasp the basics of the eight pillars of TPM, and how this strategy for involving everyone in managing equipment and assets fits into a lean initiative. You will also explore the application of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metric through an interactive business case study.
Achieving Quick Changeover
Through lecture, group exercises, and simulation, learn how to reduce changeover time dramatically, increase inventory turns, and gain flexibility in your operations while increasing your ability to react to customer demands and market pressures.
This module demonstrates essential methods to prevent and control errors and defects and the conditions that cause them.
Team-Based Problem Solving (CEDAC ®)
Learn and practice a simple problem-solving methodology that will equip you and your team members to identify the root causes of problems and generate effective solutions using improvement tools.

Productivity Inc. attendees receive a reduced rate of $145.00 per night, single or double occupancy. Rate includes hot buffet breakfast. The special rate will be available until four weeks prior to the event; after this date the hotel cannot guarantee availability.

Cancellation policy: Prior to the start of the session, registrations may be transferred to a colleague without charge. To be considered for a refund, we must receive notification of cancellation in writing no later than 30 business days prior to the event. Cancellations received within 30 business days of the start of a program are subject to the full registration fee; this money will be held on account for up to one year for use at a future workshop or conference. Cancellations received within 10 business days of the start of a program will be assessed a fee equal to 20% of the registration fee; the remainder of the fee will be held on account for up to one year for use at a future workshop or conference. If no notification of cancellation is provided, registration fees will be forfeited. There is a $200 processing fee for all cancellations. No refunds or credits will be issued once a session is underway. On rare occasions, circumstances may make it necessary to cancel or postpone an event. We encourage attendees to book refundable/reusable airline tickets. We will not be responsible for incidental costs incurred by registrants.
