Ellis has worked directly with the originators and implementers of nationally and internationally recognized improvement strategies, has presented at international, national, and regional conferences, and is a faculty member/instructor at The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business where he teaches Masters of Operational Excellence (MBOE), and fully-accredited Certification Programs in Total Productive Maintenance (TPMC) and Lean Manager (LMAC).

Prior to joining Productivity Inc., Ellis spent 10 years with Pirelli Corporation where he played a key leadership role in the company’s process improvement initiatives, both at the plant and corporate level. As the Corporate Director of Manufacturing Process Improvement, he was responsible for all process improvement activities at Pirelli’s four North American Energy Division sites (12 facilities). In this role, Ellis planned and deployed TPM, produced leadership awareness programs and process owner training, and subsequently trained over 1000 employees in the principles and practices of TPM and process improvement. As a result, Pirelli’s TPM implementation became an industry benchmark.

Today, as Senior Management Consultant (BPL), Ellis continues to advance the principles of World Class Maintenance Practices, aka, TPM, PM, RCM, et al and Lean Production, through ongoing client engagements with numerous small, mid, and large companies representing a variety of industry sectors. Ellis served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps (Aviation) and has a degree in Industrial Technology.
